The retail prices for Mercedes Benz GL-Class cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. In February the price for a car is £82,519 increasing till £88,100 in March. The following two months (April, May) the selling price went through a devaluation of -7 percent in the average selling price compared to the previous two months analyzed. The average price has had spectacular rise of 95 % with an average price of £82,392.5 during the previous 4 months and £160,377.5 during the most recent months in June and July.
The average price for Mercedes Benz GL-Class has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2015 and 2018, the average price is £36,377. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2015 (£27,639) moving up till (£46,180)in 2018. During the next two years (2019, 2020) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 66 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 7 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (£65,227) and the the last two years that were studied (2021, 2022) with a price of £69,962.5.
