The retail prices for BMW 3 Series cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. The average price for December is £61,350. During January there was a slight reduction in the selling prices dropping till £57,040. The average selling price has remained fairly constant during the following two months, going from £59,195 to £56,422. The average price has had spectacular rise of 761 % with an average price of £57,808.5 during the previous 4 months and £497,877 during the most recent months in April and May.
The average price for BMW 3 Series has had a strong rise in recent years. Between "before 2000" and 2018, the average price is £10,898.7. There was a significant inflation of the average price in "before 2000" (£6,611) moving up till (£29,285)in 2018. During the next two years (2019, 2020) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 237 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 8 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (£39,767.5) and the the last two years that were studied (2021, 2022) with a price of £42,827.
