The retail prices for BMW 1 Series cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. The average price in February was £38,096. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at £38,647 during March. During the following two months (April, May) the average selling price experienced a noticeable rise, going up 1222 % from £38,371.5 to £507,176. The average price has had spectacular rise of 256 % with an average price of £272,773.75 during the previous 4 months and £970,251 during the most recent months in June and July.
The average price for BMW 1 Series has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2004 and 2018, the average price is £9,936.87. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2004 (£2,861) moving up till (£24,094)in 2018. During the next two years (2019, 2020) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 223 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 6 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (£33,987.25) and the the last two years that were studied (2021, 2022) with a price of £35,926.5.
